Since we are from Albuquerque, we stayed here 7 months (the price was a monthly rate--our last 3 nights cost $130). The only reason we chose this campground is for the convenience (it is the only RV park actually "in town." The manager is very helpful and friendly, as are most of the work-campers. However, there was one couple who were very rude--I heard many, many complaints about them from guests and other help. For some reason, though, they are kept working there and rumor is they will return. When behind the counter this person's answer to any question is "NO" and not nicely either. When I said that I could go to another park I was told to go ahead because there were 15 other RVs waiting for my spot--the place was almost empty, so I'm not sure why they were waiting for MY spot. They have let the park get old and run down, but they keep it up just enough to be functional (corporate KOA). Right before we left they raised the price on dryers from $1 to $1.50 with no increase in time. At 1.50 for washer and 1.50 for dryer, this is not the most expensive we have seen, but it seems expensive for such old machines that are not the best. We will stay here again (again, because of the convenience). Also, do not leave loose stuff outside or it might disappear--we even had another camper take our outdoor rug during a windstorm (sure, it probably blew off our lot--but most campers turn things in rather than keeping them). We also had someone begging for money at 10 pm one night and while we were there motorcycles and bicycles were stolen from other sites. Again, if you can talk to the manager, he will work with you and provide great service. But you have to ask for decent service, it is not automatic (especially if that one couple is there--they would keep us from returning).

What a great park! We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this park. Everyone was friendly (employees and guests) and the facilities were top notch. Cement pads and a little more room would have earned a 10. The breakfast was very good and historic Mesilla was a lot of fun to visit. We will definitely be back to this park each time we come through (we are already changing some plans to spend more time here).

We spent one night here. First the only downsides--a bit out of town; wi-fi was weak (so weak late that I could not use it anymore and had to switch to my air card); sites a bit unlevel (like a typical KOA; dirt/gravel parking spots). Now the pluses--quiet (even though close to the highway, we did not hear it and we had our windows open all night); the Roadrunner Cafe was very good (great value, nothing fancy, but a good amount of good food at a low price--you have to season it, though); grass at the site; the prickly pear cactus was pretty; everyone was VERY friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We have been here for one month (the rate is based on the monthly rate). We like being in town, and this is the only campground in Albuquerque that is actually in town. We've had some issues since arriving with things like asking for a site where we can get our satellite tv and being given one of the few sites with a tree blocking the view of the sky and asking if the wi-fi is good, and being told it is new and works well...however, the antenna for the wi-fi are low, so the other RVs block the signal quite effectively (we could not even get a strong enough signal to connect until we moved closer to the source). My feeling is that they will promise you anything you ask for, but then just put you on any site. We were not allowed to shift sites because all of the other people had reservations (of course, we also had a reservation, but for some reason did not get what we were promised; a central location in the park, satellite tv, and wi-fi). The major problem is that only one person can handle issues (Aaron; manager). No other employee is allowed to address problems and Aaron was not her when I had the issue. The restrooms are a bit worn and old as well. We finally got a site that met our needs (after we spoke to Aaron). The help was friendly (except for one lady in the office), but they politely kept saying that we were out of luck because everyone else had a "reservation"...completely disregarding the fact that our reservation was mande months ahead of time and we were promised specific things. Once we got the wi-fi signal, it kept dropping me offline. Aaron was quite responsive to our complaints (site issues and wi-fi), but he cannot be in the office all the time, and nobody else is allowed to be responsive. We will stay here a few more months (have not found a better alternative), so will see how things go the rest of our time here.

We spent a night here on our way to Albuquerque. The location was good because the west side of town is where all the "chain" restaurants, big mall, and etcetera are located. While I thought the campground was good overall, it highlighted issues in advertising and ratings in the RV guides (i.e. Trailer Life). For example, their ad states "Big Rigs Love Our Sites!" Well, I only have a 38 ft motor home, but (especially with the pick-ups parked in specific locations) found it tight to get in (if I wanted to avoid the low overhang) and make some turns. So, while big rigs can fit, I'm not sure that I would claim that they "love" the park. Also, Trailer Life gave the restrooms a 10*. While they were well-equipped and clean, age has taken its toll and it was the first RV park restroom I've every been in that did not provide some sort of privacy for dressing or undressing to get in or out of the shower. I would never give this type of setup a 10. I only used the wi-fi for a short time, but it worked well for that short period. We would stay here again. My wife also loved the gift shop.

We spent one night here and would stay here again for short stays, but with no wi-fi would likely not stay for any length of time. The staff was very helpful, including providing clear directions for when we arrive and when we leave. The field of fire hydrants for the dogs was cute (we've found that dog-lovers seem to create the friendliest environments in their parks). I really liked how they "phrased" their rules for the park...instead of the typical list of "do not...or get evicted" it was phrased as "your neighbor would appreciate" kinds of statements. Much more welcoming than most lists. The pull-thru was quite long, but narrow. Good satellite reception, but also excellent cable provided.

The rate was a monthly rate plus electricity. We stayed here 4 weeks. The staff was very friendly and helpful (they even opened before 9 to close out our ticket when we were leaving to pay electric bill). The restrooms were some of the cleanest we have ever seen (but it seemed there was only two of them). The wi-fi was spotty and wasoften not available and dropped you all the time when it was available. The other downside was the white gravel roads. The rock size made it very noisy when cars drove by and the white dust was everywhere. The location is fairly clost to Georgetown and there is a large county park within walking distance. We would stay here again.

We spent one night here...a good stop after a day of driving because of the convenience to the internet. While the sites will fit a big rig, the road in, entrance, and interior roads are a bit tight for large coaches, but you can make it with little trouble. Not a lot of amenities here, but a level place to park with full hookups. The rating may be a bit harsh, but after 2.5 months in an Outdoor Resorts location, we have a very high view of what a "10" is.

We spent 6 days here and the rate is based on paying for a week (it was cheaper than paying for 6 days; there are no discounts except for longer stays). The employees were friendly and told us to shift sites if we did not like the one we had been assigned (they must have had a feeling we would not like it...it was small and overgrown, even though there were many open and wider sites and with 4 slides you do not want them in the brush). We enjoyed the seafood restaurants in the area; but they were not as close as implied in the ads. Also, the "newest" park in Biloxi was misleading; this is not a new park and the laundy did not quite seem "beautiful" to me :) We did not have much trouble getting in, but it was tight in some places because of other trailers and vehicles. Also, the wi-fi is "Air DSL" and you have to pay for it, so we chose to stick with our air card. We would consider staying here again, but might look for other options.

We spent one night here because it was on our route to our next location. We were looking for a comfortable place to spend the night (meaning get some sleep). Between the drag races nearby (with live band and fireworks), the people riding motorcycles in the park, the screaming kids, and all the other activity that happens on a Saturday night, this was not the best place to try and get an early night's sleep. The sites were very close together (not much room between each RV) and so many people were parked on the road instead of on their site it was VERY tight trying to get in and leave. It seemed like a decent park and might be quieter during the week. Most likely would not stay here again. The employees were friendly and helpful. The wi-fi worked very well and was free.

We stayed here 2.5 months. Everything was excellent. Since most of the people here own their lots, it is much more like a neighborhood than a campground. There were many activities in the resort and it is close to shopping, restaurants, shows, ocean, etc. The only gap is no Wi-Fi; amazing that a place of this caliber does not have Wi-Fi. The resort was offering half-price deals while we were there, but the owner we worked with held us to our original agreement. Just a caution for people working with the owners.

Not sure the actual price of the lot since it was part of a vacation package; but it was at least 60. Since it was a Disney park the location was excellent for the park...the short boat ride to Magic Kingdom was very nice. All the activities and close restaurants were nice. As for a campground, it was a bit rustic. It was very difficult to get into the space (very tight fit) and the people working the gate did not know anything about RVs...when I asked if the site was a back-in or pull-thru they did not know what I was talking about. And, even though there was a pull-off for hitching and un-hitching, the person was not aware of it or what it was for. Since you stay here to see Disney, it is a good location; but I wonder why Disney does not see a market for a more "resort-like" section that does not feel as "camping in the woods". Everything was kept very clean, though.

We were here for 2 weeks. We enjoy the park and location because it is on the base where family is stationed. Not much amenities, though. Also, the grounds and restrooms were not as clean as they were when we stayed here a year ago.

We stayed here four weeks. It is on a hill, so has beautiful views, especially with the fall colors. You can even see the Biltmore. While the previous comments about pulling in on a blind curve and having the office on a hill were correct, it was not as tight as some posts made it sound (maybe because we've spend so much time in the Northeast where they are REALLY tight). We did not have to re-exit to get to our site, but 2/3 of the park requires that. The staff was friendly and helpful and very accommodating. The park would score higher, but the restrooms could be a little cleaner (often found them out of paper towels as well) and the sites could have a little more room (and we were told we were in the "larger" sites). The first spot we parked was not able to get the wi-fi (it constantly dropped the connection because the signal was so low), but when we parked near the transponder it worked well. The showers seemed old (difficult to find a temperature) and the laundry facility was not very nice (but the centipedes were fun to watch in the laundry room--NOT). Because of the location (very close to Asheville, Farmer's Market, stores, restaurants, etc.) and the staff, we would most likely stay here again.

We enjoyed this park last time, so returned when in the area. It is not as "overgrown" as most KOAs, so we had no problem getting in and parking. We also enjoyed being right on the lake. We love the food in Charleston. This KOA is a little more conducive to "RVers" instead of just campers, but it still does not provide any pads or other nice to haves for full-timers.

We stayed here 2 weeks, and once again enjoyed being so close to the beach that you can hear the ocean and have a nice view. We definitely prefer the sites with concrete pads (they seem to be getting more of these each time). We like the nice laundry and other amenities in the park; but it does get a bit crowded sometimes and the "full-time" or "regulars" seem to feel that you should cater to them (for example they will park in the road and make you wait while they chit-chat).

We spent 4 weeks at the campground. We enjoyed the location because it was so close to the battlefields and town (1 mile from downtown). The campground (even though it has "resort" in the title) was a nice campground like a typical KOA with many close trees, narrow roads, and nothing but dirt pads and sites. It is nice if your goal is to get back to nature and see Gettysburg. For full-timers that still work full-time, it was a bit too rustic. They charged for the internet wi-fi ($60 per month) and our neighbor said the signal was poor we were in a "weak spot" according to the office. The laundry facility was expensive, and the water level in the washing machines was so low that you could not get your clothes clean or rinsed and there was no sign warning you about this. When we return to Gettysburg we will look at another park one less "woodsy". We had to unhook the car prior to going to our site because of the narrow roads and sharp turns even though we had a pull-through, our 38 foot motor home could not get there with the car attached.

We spent one night at this park. We thought the price was a little high for a dirt pad with no sewer. While we were able to get to the site with the car attached, but it was a little tight with all the trees and curves. There was a little diner (The Pink Cadillac Diner) within walking distance that served typical small-town diner fare. It is rare to find a KOA that is not woodsy and rustic, so we got what we expected. Not likely to stay again. The staff was very friendly, the wi-fi worked for the few minutes I was on, but the cable selection was poor.

We spent 5 weeks at the campground and enjoyed the location. The only thing stopping it from getting a 10 is the space...as with most campgrounds in the northeast, it was designed for smaller units and caters to "camping" vs. RVing. We thought that 7 am was an odd time to close bathrooms for cleaning (and the line outside seemed to support that), but the restrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Having to push the button every 30 seconds to keep the shower going (it was supposed to be 60 seconds) was a bit annoying. The paper each morning and mail delivered to the site were nice touches and the activities that collected money for charity were a lot of fun (we attended a lobster bake and a breakfast). The owner and other staff were helpful and provided great info and directions to all the sites in the area.

We spent one night here because it was halfway between the Red Apple Campground in Kennebunkport and the Drummer Boy Camping Resort in Gettysburg. It must be the off season...it was almost empty. It looked deserted as we pulled in and we were not sure where to go. So, we stopped and called and someone came out. The restrooms were not at all clean and they charged for the showers (I would not have used them for free because of the way they looked). It seemed expensive for what you got...very "rustic". Also, the easiest way to get there is the Taconic Parkway, which you cannot drive with an RV (so you have to take a much longer, windy route through Hopewell Junction). The manager was knowledgeable and friendly, but doubt that we would stay here again. It seemed like a good place to spend some time camping and fishing, though (the lake looked nice). They did have cable tv at the site.

We enjoyed this campground! It is the first one in this part of the country that actually provided some space between the RVs. Everyone working in the park was very friendly and helpful. At check-in the owner helped me get connected when I had problems with my cable. We enjoyed the activities at the resort and all of the nearby things to see (including Stephen King's house) and do. The only complaint that I can come up with is that there is too much grass! We love the grass, but we prefer to have an area where we can put out our mats, chairs, etc. Many sites had a gravel patio area (double-wide RV pad) to give you this space and we were told they are adding more. Ours did not so we tracked in grass because the wet summer caused them to mow quite often. We stayed here 3 weeks and will stay here again! The restaurant at the entrance had a sign posted that they are closing this month.

We stayed at this campground 15 days. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful--the place was run like a nice hotel; for example, when my wife had problems with a washer, they refunded her money with absolutely no hassle at all and sent someone to look at it right away. The Wi-Fi was $1 per day per computer. The connection was spotty (the connectivity kept going away. When I talked to the manager he willingly refunded my fee and stated that Time Warner Cable was having intermittent outages of their signal). The manager was sincere about it bothering him since he promises Wi-Fi ,and there was nothing he could do to improve it because it was not in his system. The campground's system always had a strong signal--it was just the connectivity issue from the provider. I did not think I would ever give a campground with sites so close together and dirt spaces a 9, but this one was run so well, I feel it deserves it (the attitude of management always make a huge impact on your stay). Maybe it was because the ducks were so much fun to watch! They also had a lot of the Maine State Bird there--the mosquito--so come prepared!

We stayed here 2 weeks. I wasn't sure about the attitude at check-in; first, this was the first campground that demanded to see my Good Sam card, and then told me it was expired based on the "member since" date. Also, as I was checking in they made the comment "if you are thinking about staying any longer, we are booked"--maybe I just took it wrong, but I wasn't sure what prompted that since we had pretty specific reservations. However, after that exchange, the staff/owners were excellent the rest of the stay--very friendly and helpful. As others have mentioned, the wi-fi was spotty; strong signal and good speed but often dropped the signal (may be fine if you are only checking mail; but when you work full-time on the computer this can be annoying--and sometimes extremely inconvenient). Also, as full-time RVers that work we are less into the nature and woods and campfires than some. When your front door is only a few feet from your neighbor, it can get a bit crowded and having your neighbor sitting right outside your front window feels cramped. We also had to manuever under a low tree (growing at an interesting angle) to squeeze into the site and the neighbor had to pull all the way forward or we could not pull out forward. You can maneuver with a big rig, but it is tight. The campground would have scored higher if there was something besides dirt on the ground; and since it rained a lot while we were there, there was lots of mud. No grass, gravel, pads, etc.; just dirt (site, space, and trees) because of all the trees. All of the kids seemed to be having a good time, though; again, as full-timers when kids are running through your campsite it makes it feel as if you don't have your own site. Kimball Farms Ice Cream is a must-have while in this area!

We stayed here 1 week. The Wi-Fi worked well, even though the signal was low because of a building between me and the antenna. They only have 30 amp sites, but we had no problems with the power. The one day it got very hot the power tripped off in the early evening when everyone turned on the air conditioners, but the owner said that they were just waiting for a part to double the capacity in this area of the park. The owners were friendly and helpful and seem to be continually improving the campground; which is 75% seasonal sites. They took credit cards, and we enjoyed having ice cream on the porch at the snack bar each evening. We would stay here again--but make a reservation since there are so few sites that are not seasonal. The park has ponds for fishing and even swimming. They had bingo the first Saturday we were here, and the Saturday we left they were having a potluck and dance. It is a bit of distance from town for our taste, but not too far.

We enjoyed this park--it is a beautiful setting and the grounds are well-kept. As full-timers who still work using internet, we would prefer wi-fi service (my Verizon air card worked well) and cable tv when there are too many trees for satellite. We also prefer to use a credit card rather than write checks. We enjoyed the waterfront space--watching the boats on the Mohawk-- and most everyone was very friendly (lots of seasonals/regulars). The showers were satisfactory, but could be cleaner. We stayed here 2 weeks. The spaces were close together, but did not feel too crowded because of the circular layout. We would stay here again.

We stayed here 3 weeks and enjoyed the area. The owners were very helpful and knew the area well. The sites are a little tight pulling in, but they gave good advice for best approach. The best part of the stay was watching the Amish Buggies and talking to the farmer across the street. We were also invited to an Amish, Mennonite church service and lunch with a family. Even though it is up hill to town and no sidewalk, the walk is nice and lots of shops right there. The Wi-Fi service was very good and we enjoyed the ice-cream social in the park on Memorial Day weekend. Definitely an excellent place to see Amish Country.

We stayed 2 weeks at this campground. We are full-time RVers and I still work using internet and phone. This is an exceptional campground for "campers" in that it was in a beautiful location with great access to National Forest, stream, etc. As for a full-timer in a bigger rig, though, it was difficult. The sites were not level (we found one we could level on our 4th try). The "Wi-Fi" was horrible--it is the older service that has decent download but extremely slow upload. The cell phone reception (AT&T) was terrible. There was no cable TV and only a few stations accessible by antenna--satellite was no good because of the trees. It was difficult maneuvering my 38-foot motor home inside the park (but possible). As I said, an awesome campground when your goal is to "get away".

Enjoyed the stay at the park. Nice to have a self-serve car wash with an RV bay right at the park entrance. Close to town to enjoy the restaurants and attractions. Enjoyed the pet play areas. Needed more than one bath-house; it is a long walk from the back of the park. Our site had recently had work done on it, so there was loose dirt that became very muddy in the rain.

We enjoyed the park, all the amenities, and the beach. Also, the park was close to many restaurants, tourist locations, and RV repair services. Our only complaint was with the Wi-Fi service--it was very poor and when we complained about paying for service that did not work we were told that it was not guaranteed to work inside an RV (seemed odd to offer Wi-Fi in an RV park that does not work in an RV and not to tell you prior to paying). After several days of complaining and calling the service provider and speaking to the park manager finally got a callback from the provider owner and was given a refund. Parks should only get credit for having Wi-Fi if the service actually works.

Overall, a nice park. It was too close to the interstate, so the noise level was high. Also, the drainage was poor, so the rain caused a lot of the campsites to be in the middle of large pools of water. The showers could have been cleaner and a place to park for laundry would be nice. The Wi-Fi was intermittent (continually dropped the signal all day).

Since we were there in the off-season, we were able to get a monthly rate. We spent 2 months here. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed looking out our window at the lake. It was a quiet and friendly campground with plenty of room at each site. We loved the area as well--there were excellent restaurants in Mt. Pleasant as well as in Charleston. While we were there they completely retitled the bathrooms and showers. The rating would be higher if there had been sites that were not dirt and the sewer connection was not so high (hard to dump your tank when the sewer connection is higher than your drain).

We were here almost 2 months--the "rate" was based on their monthly rate. Since we were here a while, the distance from town was not convenient. Overall the staff was friendly, but some were not (I guess that is expected when you have so many work-campers; there were a lot!--when I wanted to fill up with propane I checked into the office to let them know and they said someone would be right out. I was near the fill tank, but waiting for the person to come out and guide me the remaining 6 feet. I waited 20 minutes and went back in to find out when they would come out--the guy said "I'm not coming out there until you pull all the way into the fill station." Probably just me, but I thought that was not called for.). The monthly rate does not include the free continental breakfast. We have dogs and (natural for New Mexico) there were tons of stickers anywhere they could walk. The sites were level and not too close together. We are full-timers and were not sure how long we planned to stay, but were told that we could not check in without providing a departure date--so we made one up. The wi-fi was free when we arrived, but then they started charging for it. The service was intermittent--it constantly went down and kicked me off line. When we complained to the staff, they commented that it was noise and that was just the way it is with wi-fi. The Thanksgiving potluck in the clubhouse was a nice touch--they provided the turkey! We would stay here again. Even though it was a bit out of town, it seemed to be the nicest park in the area.

This was the nicest campground we have ever stayed at--asphalt sites with lots of space in between. We spent 2 weeks here and were only able to stay because of active duty family. The people were friendly and the sites were extremely well maintained. If you are able to stay at military campgrounds, this is excellent. Of course, what comes with any air force base is being near a flight path and noise when jets are practicing. Even though there was no Wi-Fi, the Verizon air card worked very well.

We spent one night here. The park was very tight (very little room between sites--nervous about putting out the slides). We did not get to use the Wi-Fi because we did not know the password and even though we arrived during office hours there was no staff to be found. Our Verizon air card only picked up the slow access as well. The one thing we liked was that there was a grocery store right across the street and eating places within walking distance. Probably would not stay here again. It looked like a great place to stay if you were getting work done at the dealership next door.

We spent one night at this campground. It was fine for one night, but a bit cramped. We were told that our pull-through was long enough to leave the car hooked up, but it was not. We were also told that they had Wi-Fi "at the sites" when we made the reservation. Upon arrival we were then told that it was only available within 30 feet of the building. The staff was not very helpful.

We spent one night here. They did not take credit cards. The sites felt like plenty of room on each, but since there was only 1 other RV in the whole place it was hard to tell. A great place for a one-night stop along I-40, but not sure about a longer stay. Did not seem that there was much in the area to see. Very close to the highway, so a bit noisy.

The restaurant was excellent--best catfish ever! The campground was not so good. While the access is okay for big rigs, the sites are not level (we could not level the coach) and very short. Also, we asked for 50-amp but were initially given a 30-amp. They only accept cash. It was fun for one night and was worth the trip for the catfish (would also be nice if you want to catch your own catfish). Not likely to stay here again. The staff seem to be there to run the restaurant and the RV sites are a distraction.

It was a clean and quiet campground right in Santa Fe--walking distance to restaurants and shopping and a bus stop to the Plaza right at the gate. The staff was very helpful and friendly--this was our first stop in our RV after picking it up, and they gave us a bottle of sparkling cider to celebrate. The wi-fi was excellent. The only down side for us was the rule about no dogs on the grass--the non-grass sites were too dirty for the dogs. We were there almost 2 weeks.
